In the cards

Just popping in to show you the latest projects I've made with the Big Shot (if you missed it, you can read about my new toy in this post)! After using only the embossing folders in the Big Shot, which are awesome and what I will primarily use, I decided to branch out and get the Tim Holtz tattered florals die to try out. I didn't try it with newspaper for its trial run, but I loved how it punched through cardstock.

Wouldn't these look cute bent up a little bit and attached to a card with brads? I'm going to have to try out newspaper next to get that cool vintage look. It can also cut through thin fabric, so that would be awesome, too, for a card.

And here's the birthday card I made for a co-worker using the polka dot embossing folder. I'm still learning, but I love the raised dots. They just make the card look so much more professional.

I'm having a card-making party tomorrow, so I'll take more photos of projects then! And more posts will be up soon on Wanderlust and Weekends -- I have the Glacier National Park photos ready to go up.
