Today is a gift

I am embarrassed to say that I first heard this quote in the movie Kung Fu Panda, but I have since seen it attributed to anyone from Eleanor Roosevelt to Bil Keane (late creator of the comic strip "Family Circus.") So until anyone can show me proof of who actually said this, my latest printable doesn't have attribution. I just love this quote and thought it would be fun to design in Photoshop:

Can you tell I've got a thing for yellow right now? It's just so cheery and bright, and it always looks great with blue.

I hope you're having a wonderful week!

  1. This is great! And you've had a few other posts where you've done these designs and they've inspired me to do my own, so now I've got some Emily Dickinson in my bedroom and Walt Whitman above my desk.

Also, not related to this post, and I can't remember if this was even on your blog, but did you do a post a while back on the pet peeve of women saying their husbands "babysit" their kids? Because I totally agreed. And then, the other day at an RS activity, someone asked me where Simon was, and I said that Seve was babysitting him for me. I actually said that. I was completely beside myself the moment it left my mouth. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? Husbands do not "babysit" their OWN children UGH.

  2. Jules -- I didn't do a post about husbands who "babysit" their kids, but I agree with you on that being annoying, too! And yet I think I will probably have that slip out of my mouth at some point, too. :)

Kudos to you for Emily Dickinson and Walt Whitman quotes! All of mine are decidedly unliterary.
