Week of LOVE

First of all, thank you for all of you who have been praying for my brother Reggie. I took down my last post pretty quickly because my sister was upset about it, but I appreciate your kind words and have been able to feel the effects of your prayers. They have brought comfort.

It has been an eventful week so far. Andrew and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day (and 18 months together -- holy cow!) early on Friday at the Anniversary Inn downtown. We had dinner at Thaifoon, one of my favorite restaurants, and walked around The Gateway for awhile. About 10 o'clock that night, though, my dad called to let us know that he and my mom were rushing down to the U of U Hospital to admit Reggie.

My parents drove home today, but Reggie is still in the hospital. He is doing MUCH better, and I know that he will continue to get better this week. I would ask you to please continue praying for him and especially for my mom and dad, who are really worried and having a hard time going back home to get back to work.

The good part of the week is that Andrew surprised me with beautiful tulips and a handmade card for Valentine's Day, and we were able to enjoy a quiet night together just catching up on Glee (can't recommend the show, but this week's music was GREAT) and one of Andrew's favorites, Top Shot. It was nice to have family here, even though the circumstances were terrible, but it's nice to have a few days' break from playing host and hostess, too. :)

  1. Oh no! I've been away from blog/facebook/real life for a while since having Wyatt, so I'm really out of the loop! Hopefully everything is okay with Reggie! I will definitely keep you all in my thoughts and prayers though!
*also just saw your cute new home pics - love it!

  2. Oh goodness, I can't recommend Glee either. The show is ridiculous and bonkers and over the top and embarrassing . . . yet I watch it every week.

Our prayers go out to Reggie. I have a similar story with my brother, so I know a little of what you guys are going through. My thoughts are with you and I wish your family the best.
