Mawwiage is what bwings us together today

Andrew and I have been married a little more than two weeks now, and I am absolutely thrilled to be his wife! I'm still getting used to sharing my bed, cooking for two and suddenly being called "Aunt Lindsay," but I love my man even more than I ever did before.

While I've been adjusting to my new job as a wife, Andrew has been an AMAZING husband so far. Here are just a few of the things he's done for me since we've been married.

He makes me breakfast. Lately I've been exhausted in the mornings and not getting a good night of sleep (Andrew told me I woke him up in the middle of the night yelling, "Reggie, NO! Reggie, NO!"), and Andrew has been taking care of me. He made me amazing banana pancakes in Hawaii and French toast on Sunday. He also does the dishes and made sure we bought dishwasher soap so we wouldn't have dirty plates anymore.

He makes lunches before work. OK, it sounds like all of this is going to be about food, but I think it is SO sweet that he makes lunches for both of us to take to work while I'm still in the shower. He even let me take the special dinosaur sandwich container to work and he took the pink heart one! Now THAT's love!

He makes the bed. Andrew knows how much I hate leaving the bed unmade, so he makes it or helps me make it before we leave for work. It's lovely to come home to a clean bed and not have tangled sheets and a pile of blankets (so I like to steal the comforter, ok) to make when I walk into the bedroom.

He takes out the trash, mops and scours and does laundry -- all while I sleep for about two hours. The other day, I crashed on the couch and woke up to find that Andrew had cleaned EVERYTHING without ever waking me up to help him. He said he knew I was tired.

I really don't deserve such an incredible husband, but I am working to be a better wife and increase my domestic capabilities -- a.k.a. cook breakfast and make lunches before Andrew once in awhile.

Two-and-a-half weeks down, millions more to go! I love my amazing Andrew!

  1. Marriage is WONDERFUL! Congratulations. Later, when he leaves his socks on the floor and the empty toothpaste box in the drawer, just remember these wonderful moments and laugh off the not always so wonderful. ;)
