Music Monday: Golden Slumbers

Thank you for your kind comments about our car problems. May was a pretty rough month, so I'm hoping that June is much better.

As I mentioned before, I missed my sister-in-law's baby shower — and I had made a great lullaby album for little baby Evelynn (who may be here this week!) and the guests. Since I didn't get to share them with her yet, I thought I'd post my new favorite lullaby here for you to enjoy. It's a cover of The Beatles' "Golden Slumbers" and — I never thought I'd say this — I think it's better than the original.

Do you have a favorite lullaby? I'm planning to buy the sheet music and hopefully someday record my own lullaby album for my kids to listen to. Wouldn't that be an amazing gift?

  2. We played an Enya CD over and over and over for my kid to sleep. Not kidding, it played all night long, every night for years.

    1. I used to listen to Enya's "A Day Without Rain" album for hours when I was sick because it helped me relax and fall asleep. Now I have no idea what happened to it! I haven't listened to it in years. I'll have to look for it; I'm suddenly wanting to listen to "Only Time."

  3. I'm not a great singer (poor hubby ;) but lullabies were always dear to me. It might not be popular but I like to sing Madonna's 'Rain' to my daughter. She loves listening to it when it's actually raining :)

  5. Ahh that's a really good lullaby. I'm kind of in love with Disney lullabys...the Tarzan one (I think it's called You'll be in my heart) and the Dumbo one (Is it Baby Mine?)
