Writing Wednesday: Ode to fall


Little pumpkin patch
Sprouting orange everywhere
Tells me fall is here

I LOVE fall, and the boots and sweaters are officially out again. I'm already making plans for a trip to a corn maze, and the fall decorations are up. Harvest time is my favorite time of the year.

How do you know it's fall?

    I love fall! When candles occupy my desk and hot drinks warm my hands up I know the season's upon us.

    I notice because there is that cool brisk feeling when I walk outside and of course seeing all the pumpkin patches and Halloween store ads. I hope you have a great time at the corn maze. There's tons of corn fields here in Switzerland but no really pumpkin patches or mazes. :)

    The leaves crunch under my feet as I walk. The sunlight is different during the day and comes in the windows at a different angle. The air has a coolness to it, even when it's sunny. I love fall!

      You're right, Jenny; the sun is different during the day during the fall. Maybe it was cooler today in Bountiful! It felt like summer again here. :)
